Creative Wooden Quilt Fundraiser Centre 64 - Regional Invitational Exhibit

The Kimberley Arts Council at Centre 64 has invited artists from surrounding communities to exhibit in our gallery. This exhibit provides a unique opportunity to see what artists from other areas have been creating.

Wildsight's One Planet Film Series Begins November 20, 2008 Wildsight's One Planet Film Series
begins the 08/09 season on November 20 with whaledreamers, a
visually stunning film that offers a glimpse into rarely seen tribal
cultures, and passionately explores the connection between the
subtle elegance of these "mothers of the sea" and peoples around the
world who continue to honour a powerful spiritual connection with
the whale. Intertwining
incredible underwater footage with ancient legend,
whaledreamers
examines the complex past and challenging future of human
civilization. 7:30 pm, Centre 64, Kimberley, admission free or by
donation, runtime: 83 minutes.

The line up for Home grown coffee house includes, Brenda O'Keefe; Marta Zeegers & Tim Plait; Tom Martin, Craig Hillman, Grant Smith,& Emilio Regina; Kaity Brown & Rea Jacques; Bill St Amand, John Gerlitz, Mike Hepner; Melissa Martin Creative Finds ~An Artisan Boutique Tables Still Available FRIDAY, November 28, 2008, 4pm - 8pm & Saturday, November 29, 2008, 10am - 5pm Kimberley Arts Council wishes to host a Pre-Christmas shopping event where local and regional artisans can network, display, and sell their fine craft. This two-day event is intended as a venue for fine artists, artisans, and individuals to display their craft in the friendly environment of Centre 64. Artists are requested to be present or have a representative for both days and have an individual at their booth at all times. Should an artist need assistance, arrangements can be made with the Arts Council. The booth fee is $25 for Kimberley Arts Council Members and $45 for non-members. For more information and to register please contact the Kimberley Arts Council at (250) 427-4919. “Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol” Presented by The Off Centre Players (formerly Kimberley Community Theatre) Tuesday, December 2nd thru Saturday December 6th, 7:30pm at Kimberley’s Centre 64 Tickets are $12 for youth and $14 for adults. Seniors are offered a $2 discount on Tuesday and Wednesday performances. Tickets are available at the Kimberley Chamber of Commerce and Lotus Books in Cranbrook. A portion of the show’s profits will be donated to the Kimberley Helping Hands Food Bank. Volunteers Wanted The Kimberley Arts Council is seeking volunteers for Arts Programming Delivery in the Visual Arts, Performing Arts and Literary Arts. We are also looking for volunteers in the area of Critical Operations Support including Finance & Revenue, Facility Maintenance, Marketing & Communications, Membership & Volunteers and the Arts on the Edge Festival.
